Abstract:

In this paper we present EyeHarp, a new musical instrument based on eye tracking. EyeHarp consists of a self-built low-cost eye-tracking device which communicates with
an intuitive musical interface. The system allows performers and composers to produce music by controlling sound settings and musical events using eye movement. We describe the development of EyeHarp, in particular the construction of the eye-tracking device and the design and implementation of the musical interface.
