"El Delta Sona" in the second edition of AcustiCat
Phonos will take part in the next Congrés Català d'Acústica (AcustiCat) to present the project El Delta Sona. This project, which began in 2013, consists of a series of workshops with the aim to promote the knowledge and interest of secondary and high school students to the natural environment and technology through work with sound. In these workshops, students go through the natural spaces of the Delta del Llobregat recording sounds, identifying them and finally making a sound map of the space with the Freesound platform.
AcustiCat, which this year celebrates its second edition from April 24 to 26 in the city of Terrassa, is a congress on environmental acoustics that addresses and deals with a set of challenges and dilemas (including the participation of Phonos within the dilemma 4 : Actions and projects of participation and citizen science towards noise: Pecha Kucha). The presentation of El Delta Sona will be in the Sala Ferran Casablanques of the Museu de la Ciència i de la Tecnica de Catalunya starting at 12:15am on Thursday, April 26. The full program of the day can be found at this link: http://www.congresacusti.cat/#/programa
